Does trimming keep the audio?

The WebM option keeps sound; the MP4 option is silent but faster and plays everywhere. The panel states which you are getting before you export.

Why does the WebM take as long as the clip?

WebM records the playback in real time to preserve audio, so a 10-second clip takes about 10 seconds. MP4 encodes faster than real time because it seeks frame by frame.

Is there a length limit?

The MP4 path caps at roughly 90 seconds for encoder stability; WebM records for as long as you let it play.
