Crop an image to a circle

Make a round profile picture or avatar: drag the circle over the part of the photo you want, and everything outside it becomes transparent.

The result is a transparent PNG at full resolution — no white box, no watermark — ready for a profile, a logo or a sticker, all on your device.

A round avatar with a transparent background

The Round tool crops your photo to a circle and makes everything outside it transparent, so it drops cleanly onto any background — a profile page, a slide, a website header. It exports as a PNG (the format that stores transparency), full resolution, with no watermark and nothing uploaded.

Frame the circle exactly where you want

Drag and resize the circle to centre a face or logo — you are not stuck with a centred crop. Because pixelpix keeps every edit undoable and chains tools together, you can round the image, then compress it or turn it into a sticker without ever leaving your browser.

How it works

  1. Drop a photo and open the Round tool.
  2. Drag or resize the circle over the part you want to keep.
  3. Apply, then download the transparent PNG from the export bar.

Like every pixelpix tool, this runs 100% in your browser: your file is never uploaded to a server, never leaves your device, and works even offline once the page has loaded.

Frequently asked questions

Will the corners be transparent or white?
Transparent. The circle is cut with a real alpha mask and exported as a PNG, so the area outside the circle is see-through, not white.
Can I choose which part of the photo the circle covers?
Yes — drag and resize the circle anywhere on the image before applying, so you can centre a face or logo rather than accept a centred crop.
Is my photo uploaded to make the circle crop?
No. The whole thing runs in your browser, so the photo never leaves your device.
